The Japanese, not to be out-innovated by those clever Americans, have been quietly raising the ante. Their latest breakthrough begins with the recognition that human waste contains a considerable amount of protein. Researcher Ikeda-san does acknowledge that there may be some reticence surrounding the eating of human excrement. Ya think?
