Hard work beats talent every time. Based on his public image, Peyton Manning is one of the hardest working athletes in professional sports. So far, it seems to be turning out well for him. Open any American history book and it will tell the story of how our great country was built by immigrants who combined hard work with opportunity to achieve success. Generation after generation, Americans have worked hard so that their children could have a better life. Surveys indicate that, despite our uncertain economic times, the majority of us still expect to be better off than our parents. “Better off” is now defined as not having to work as hard as those who went before us. In the meantime, everyone is worried about the Chinese. If this video is any indication, there is plenty to worry about. They definitely seem to have figured out the opportunity-hard work-success thing. If they keep this up, they will soon be “better off.” I wish them all the best.
