In the 2009 BCS Championship Game, Tim Tebow wrote “John 3:16” on his eye-black. An estimated 94 million people Googled it, and found themselves confronted with the central message of the Christian faith. The NFL doesn’t allow players to wear advertising, but in his last playoff game against the Steelers, Tebow passed for 316 yards, averaged 31.6 yards per completion, and helped the game telecast achieve a peak Nielsen rating of 31.6. By now, it’s pretty clear where Tim stands on this God thing. In his last game as an NFL starting QB, Tim’s Broncos played the Patriots in the AFC Championship game in Foxboro. Feeling a wave of spiritual pressure coming their way, some Patriots fans conjured up a response. The Boston Herald reported that a group of witches gathered on Friday the 13th at Crow Haven Corner. There was an altar with a Tom Brady puppet, along with mojo bags filled with stones and herbs for each of the other players on the team. Google did not register any unusual activity.
